What is

Exercise Physiology?

Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) are university qualified allied health professionals equipped with the knowledge, skills and competencies to design, deliver and evaluate safe and effective exercise interventions for people with acute, sub-acute or chronic medical conditions, injuries or disabilities. Pathology domains covered by the services of AEPs include cardiovascular, metabolic, neurological, musculoskeletal, cancers, respiratory/pulmonary and mental health, and any other conditions for which there is evidence that exercise can improve the client’s clinical status.

Pre-Exercise Screening

Prior to exercise, we will take you through a basic questionnaire to determine the reasons for training and any physical or medical limitations that may prevent you from doing certain movement patterns and exercises.

Injury Rehabilitation and Prevention

Fit To Live caters to everyone, of all ages and for all non-existent and existent exercise backgrounds. If you or anyone you know suffers from any chronic health conditions, pain or would just like some exercise advice, flt is here for you.

Well-being Assessments

Daniel is an experienced exercise physiologist and is the owner of Fit To Live. 

Fit to Live Training provide high-quality practical services and information while integrating current medical and scientific research in exercise science. They are committed to helping our patients achieve their desired health and fitness goals in a safe and effective way.

Daniel Abou-Sleiman

Exercise Physiologist

Daniel is an experienced senior Exercise Physiologist and has a passion for rehabilitating chronic injuries or illnesses that have impacted an individual’s life. Daniel incorporates neuromuscular reprogramming techniques into his holistic rehabilitative exercise programs to address full body movement dysfunctions and asymmetries. With a vast experience working with children as well as disability centres and within both private practice and hospital/aged care environments, Daniel has built extensive experience in the prevention and management of conditions including but not limited to cardiovascular disease, obesity, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, stroke, osteoporosis, diabetes, arthritis, disabilities, and surgical interventions.  

Playing professional Rugby League and Rugby Union at an elite level has enabled Daniel to implement his experience in the management and programming of strength and conditioning programs for his high-level athletic clients. The incorporation of rehabilitation principles into his strengthening programs enables Daniel to ensure his athletes stay injury free whilst performing at their maximum physical potential.
