Get learning, upskill
and have fun, with TLC.

At the TLC Centre, we are passionate about providing our clients with opportunities to interact and engage with their peers whilst working towards their goals. These are designed to supplement the learning a child is already doing by building on their existing skills.

We offer group workshops during the term and during the school holidays. These groups are designed to enhance client progress and are planned and run by our team of experienced Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists.

Holiday Intensive Programs

TLC Centre offers a range of fun, educational, inclusive school holiday and term based programs. Our programs are limited to small groups to ensure that every child receives close one-on-one support. Our programs are fully covered by NDIS. We also welcome private health funds. Contact your provider to see if you are covered for speech pathology services.

What is Lego® therapy?

Lego® based therapy is a social development program for children with social communication difficulties. It uses children’s interest and motivation for playing with Lego® to help them develop communication and social skills.

Lego® based therapy is for children aged 5 and above with social communication difficulties including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), pragmatic language difficulties, anxiety, and emotional regulation difficulties. When forming the groups, we aim to match children by age and skill levels.

  • Teamwork & collaboration
  • Joint problem solving and conflict resolution
  • Sharing and turn-taking
  • Critical thinking
  • Maintaining attention
  • Verbal communication
  • Fine motor skills
  • Creativity – in producing a group name, building the models & free playtime!

Lego® therapy is most effective when run for 75 – 90 minutes across a 10-week block.
